Funko founder Mike Becker took to his Instagram page on Thursday, November 14 to hint at his next business venture coined Funmaker Inc.
In the video, Mike Becker, alongside current Funko VP of Retail, David Bere, unveils the name of his new venture, Funmaker Inc., by affixing a sign to what appears to be the new office.
The video ends with a countdown of ’90 Days to Go’ hinting that we could see an official launch of Funmaker Inc in 90 days, roughly around February 12, 2025.
Funmaker Inc has potential to be the second brainchild to rise from former Funko associates as the now former-CEO and once-owner of Funko, Brian Mariotti, who stepped down as CEO in July, launched a new company called Thrilljoy at New York Comic Con in October of this year.
While it remains uncertain exactly what Funmaker Inc.’s flagship products will be, given both Mike and Brian’s history of licensing pop-culture merchandise, it’s highly likely that this new venture will follow a similar path.
